  1. Media Authorization: By registering for or participating in the Miss Coastal Crown of America LLC (“MCCA”) State Title Competition and submitting photographs, videos, testimonials, interviews, stories, statements, or other media, the contestant grants MCCA permission to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, crop, resize, format, and adapt those materials for legitimate promotional, advertising, editorial, archival, and organizational purposes.

  2. Promotional Use: Authorized use may include MCCA websites, social media, digital advertising, newsletters, email communications, printed materials, press releases, announcements, videos, titleholder features, and current or future promotional platforms.

  3. Name, Title & Biographical Information: MCCA may use the contestant’s name, official title, age division, city and state, approved biography, platform information, accomplishments, and other information voluntarily submitted for legitimate organizational and promotional purposes.

  4. Editing & Image Integrity: MCCA may crop, resize, format, perform standard retouching, and add text or graphics to submitted media when reasonably necessary for authorized use. MCCA will not intentionally edit content in a manner that materially misrepresents the contestant or State Titleholder.

  5. No Compensation: Contestants and State Titleholders understand that no wages, royalties, residuals, or licensing fees are owed solely because MCCA uses authorized media in accordance with this agreement.

  6. Copyright & Third-Party Permissions: The contestant, or parent/legal guardian when applicable, is responsible for obtaining any necessary photographer, copyright, or third-party permissions before submitting photographs, videos, music, graphics, or other protected content to MCCA.

  7. Minor Contestants: For contestants under eighteen (18), a parent or legal guardian must provide the applicable media consent on the minor’s behalf to the extent permitted by law.

  8. Previously Published Materials: Completion of the State Competition, expiration of a title, resignation, suspension, or revocation does not require MCCA to remove or destroy photographs, competition announcements, results, promotional materials, or other historical or archived content that was lawfully created or published during the contestant’s participation, subject to applicable law.

  9. Copyright Ownership: Permission granted to MCCA under this section does not, by itself, transfer copyright ownership of submitted photographs, videos, or other media to MCCA.

  10. Acknowledgment: By completing the applicable State Competition registration and acceptance process, the contestant and, when applicable, parent/legal guardian acknowledge and agree to the media permissions contained in this section.

SECTION 2 - STATE COMPETITION ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Eligibility Requirements: Contestants must meet the applicable Miss Coastal Crown of America LLC (“MCCA”) State Competition eligibility requirements, including the official age-division qualifications, registration requirements, and standards established by the organization.

  2. Mandatory Appointed City Title: To participate in the MCCA State Title Competition, each contestant must first hold an officially approved MCCA Appointed City Title within the state she wishes to represent. A contestant may not enter the State Competition without satisfying the applicable City Title registration, approval, and eligibility requirements.

  3. State Residency & Representation: Contestants must reside in the state they represent when registering and throughout the State Competition. MCCA may request reasonable documentation to verify residency.

  4. One Official State Competition Entry: A contestant may compete for only one (1) MCCA State Title during the same competition year, unless MCCA provides prior written authorization. Contestants may not simultaneously enter multiple state competitions or represent different states during the same competition year without written approval.

  5. City Titleholder Good Standing: Contestants must hold an active City Title and remain in good standing throughout the State Competition. The three required City appearances or community-service activities may be completed throughout the City reign and do not need to be finished before State entry. Entering State does not remove the remaining City responsibilities.

  6. Accurate Registration Information: All registration information, photographs, videos, community-service documentation, identification information, and other materials submitted to MCCA must be truthful, accurate, complete, and authentic. Material falsification, intentional omission, misrepresentation, or submission of fraudulent documentation may result in denial of entry, disqualification, or other appropriate disciplinary action.

  7. Eligibility Verification: MCCA may request reasonable proof of age, residency, City Title status, or other eligibility requirements. Failure to provide requested verification by the stated deadline may result in an incomplete or denied entry.

  8. Entry Confirmation: Entry becomes official only after MCCA receives, verifies, and approves the required registration information, payment, and submissions. Application or payment alone does not guarantee acceptance, placement, prizes, or a State Title.

  9. Continued Eligibility: Contestants must continue to satisfy applicable eligibility requirements throughout the State Competition. A contestant selected as a State Titleholder must maintain good standing and comply with the applicable State Titleholder Rules & Regulations throughout her reign.

  10. State Titles Awarded Through Judging: Unlike MCCA Appointed City Titles, which are awarded through administrative appointment, MCCA State Titles are earned through a judged competition. State Titleholders are selected according to the official competition categories, judging criteria, and scoring procedures established by MCCA. The judging process and competition requirements are addressed separately in Section 5 — State Competition Categories & Judging.

SECTION 3 - STATE COMPETITION REGISTRATION FEES & PAYMENT POLICY

  1. State Competition Registration Fee: The registration fee to participate in the Miss Coastal Crown of America LLC (“MCCA”) State Title Competition is $395 USD per contestant. This fee covers competition registration, administrative processing, submission review, judging, scoring, and applicable organizational expenses associated with conducting the State Competition. Payment of the registration fee provides an eligible contestant with the opportunity to compete for an MCCA State Title. It does not guarantee selection as a State Titleholder, placement, or receipt of a crown, sash, prize, or other award.

  2. Separate City, State & National Fees: The $395 State Competition registration fee is separate from the $200 Appointed City Title registration fee and the $695 National Competition entry fee. Payment of the State Competition fee does not include City Title registration, National Competition registration, or other optional expenses unless expressly stated otherwise by MCCA in writing.

  3. Registration Confirmation & Payment Verification: A contestant's State Competition registration is not considered complete until the required registration form, applicable payment, and requested competition materials have been received, verified, and approved by MCCA. Failed, canceled, reversed, disputed, or incomplete transactions do not satisfy the payment requirement.

  4. Official Payment Methods: All State Competition registration payments must be submitted through payment methods officially designated by MCCA. Contestants should provide sufficient identifying information, including their full legal name, current City Title, and state of representation, when reasonably necessary to match payment to their registration. MCCA may request reasonable proof of payment when verification is necessary.

  5. No-Refund Policy: Except where required by applicable law, State Competition registration fees are non-refundable once submitted and accepted by MCCA. Withdrawal, voluntary cancellation, failure to submit required materials, failure to meet competition deadlines, disqualification, nonparticipation, or failure to receive a State Title or placement does not automatically entitle a contestant to a refund, credit, transfer, or future competition entry. Contestants and, when applicable, parents/legal guardians are responsible for reviewing the applicable Rules & Regulations before submitting payment.

  6. Incomplete Registration & Missed Deadlines: Contestants are responsible for completing all required registration, payment, and competition submissions by the published deadlines. Failure to satisfy these requirements may result in an incomplete entry or disqualification from the applicable State Competition. MCCA may review documented administrative errors or MCCA-controlled technical problems when reasonably appropriate.

  7. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments: Verified accidental duplicate payments or payment-processing errors may be reviewed and corrected by MCCA when appropriate. Correction of a duplicate or erroneous transaction does not make other properly assessed registration fees refundable.

  8. Additional Competition Expenses: Unless expressly stated otherwise by MCCA, contestants and State Titleholders are responsible for their own additional expenses, including photography, wardrobe, evening gowns, video production, transportation, travel, appearances, community-service activities, promotional materials, internet access, and optional activities. MCCA does not require contestants to purchase services from a particular photographer, wardrobe provider, or other vendor unless expressly disclosed as a competition requirement.

  9. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes: Participants are encouraged to contact MCCA regarding payment concerns before initiating a payment dispute when reasonably possible. Fraudulent or knowingly improper chargebacks or payment disputes may result in temporary suspension of competition participation or Titleholder privileges while the matter is reviewed. Nothing in this provision limits any consumer right, payment dispute protection, or legal remedy available under applicable law.

  10. Future Registration Fee Changes: MCCA may modify registration fees for future State Competitions or competition years. A fee increase will not be applied retroactively to a State Competition registration that has already been paid in full unless the contestant voluntarily purchases an additional product or service.

SECTION 4 - MANDATORY STATE COMPETITION ENTRY INFORMATION & PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

  1. Required Registration Information: Each contestant must provide her full legal name, chronological age, current official MCCA Appointed City Title, applicable age division, city and state of residence, and state she intends to represent. All registration information must be complete, accurate, and consistent with the contestant's approved City Title and State Competition eligibility requirements.

  2. Photogenic Category — Primary Headshot: Each contestant must submit one (1) current, high-quality headshot photograph for the Photogenic category. The contestant's face must be clearly visible, and the photograph must accurately represent her natural appearance. Full-length photographs, mid-length portraits, group photographs, or images in which the contestant's face is substantially obscured will not be accepted for Photogenic judging.

  3. Evening Gown Category — Full-Length Photograph: Each contestant must submit one (1) full-length photograph wearing an evening gown for the Evening Gown Portfolio category. The photograph must clearly display the contestant's overall presentation and gown. The contestant should be the primary subject, with sufficient visibility for judges to evaluate her appearance, elegance, poise, and presentation.

  4. Photograph Currency: All photographs submitted for State Competition judging must have been taken within six (6) months before the applicable submission deadline. Photographs must accurately represent the contestant's current appearance and age.

  5. Image Quality & Accepted File Formats: Submitted photographs must be clear, appropriately lit, and of sufficient resolution for digital judging. Accepted file formats include JPEG, JPG, and PNG, unless MCCA specifies otherwise. MCCA may request replacement images when photographs are blurry, pixelated, corrupted, improperly formatted, substantially obscured, or unsuitable for fair judging.

  6. Photo Editing & Digital Integrity: Reasonable cropping and adjustments to lighting, exposure, contrast, and color are allowed. Face-swapping, face-tuning, or editing that materially changes the contestant’s face, body proportions, age, or identity is prohibited. MCCA may request original images or other reasonable verification.

  7. Artificial Intelligence & Wardrobe Editing: AI-assisted background modification is allowed when it does not obscure or misrepresent the contestant. Fully AI-generated contestants and changes to the contestant’s face, body proportions, age, or identity are prohibited. The Evening Gown photograph must show the actual gown worn by the contestant, without digital replacement or alterations to its design, color, fit, or length. Reasonable lighting and color correction is permitted when it does not materially change the gown’s actual appearance.

  8. Photograph Authenticity & Verification: If MCCA has a reasonable concern regarding the authenticity, accuracy, or eligibility of a submitted photograph, the organization may request an original unedited image, an additional current photograph, or other reasonable verification. Failure to provide reasonably requested verification materials may result in rejection of the photograph or disqualification from the affected competition category, subject to the applicable competition rules.

  9. Introduction Video Submission: Each contestant must submit the required Introduction Video of no more than two (2) minutes through MCCA's designated submission method. The video must feature the registered contestant and comply with the applicable video requirements, technical specifications, and published deadlines. The official judging criteria for this category are addressed in Section 5 — State Competition Categories & Judging.

  10. Community Service/Resume Submission: Each contestant must submit the required Community Service/Resume materials through MCCA's designated submission method. Submitted information must truthfully represent the contestant's community involvement, volunteer activities, charitable work, personal platform, accomplishments, or other qualifying contributions. MCCA may request reasonable supporting documentation when necessary to verify submitted accomplishments or activities.

  11. Copyright & Third-Party Permissions: The contestant or, when applicable, parent/legal guardian is responsible for obtaining any necessary photographer, videographer, copyright, music, or third-party permissions before submitting photographs, videos, or other protected materials. Contestants may not knowingly submit content they are not authorized to use.

  12. Submission Instructions & Deadlines: All entries must be received through MCCA’s designated submission method by the published deadline. Unless otherwise stated, deadlines end at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (ET). MCCA will publish applicable file requirements and submission instructions.

  13. Missing or Defective Submissions: Late, missing, corrupted, or noncompliant materials will be handled under Section 5. MCCA may allow reasonable technical corrections or correct documented MCCA-controlled errors, provided doing so does not create an unfair advantage.

SECTION 5 - STATE COMPETITION CATEGORIES, SCORING & JUDGING

  1. Competition Groups: Contestants compete within their registered state and age division. State Titles are awarded through judging, subject to eligibility verification and compliance with these rules.

  2. Introduction Video — 25%: Submit an introduction video of no more than two (2) minutes sharing your personality, interests, accomplishments, goals, and reasons for participating. Judges consider confidence, communication, organization, authenticity, individuality, and overall impression. Professional production is not required. Age-appropriate parent or guardian assistance is allowed, and judges consider the contestant’s developmental abilities.

  3. Evening Gown Portfolio — 30%: Submit one full-length photograph wearing an evening gown. Judges consider elegance, poise, posture, confidence, gown suitability and fit, age appropriateness, personal style, and overall presentation. Gown price and designer label are not judging criteria. Photographs must follow Section 4’s editing requirements.

  4. Photogenic — 25%: Submit one current headshot. Judges consider expression, personality, confidence, camera presence, composition, lighting, clarity, authenticity, and age-appropriate presentation. Judging is not based solely on conventional beauty standards or photography expense.

  5. Community Service/Resume — 20%: Judges consider community involvement, service, leadership, initiative, accomplishments, dedication, authenticity, and meaningful impact. Age, available opportunities, resources, and individual circumstances are considered. Younger contestants may demonstrate family-supported service, school activities, kindness initiatives, or other age-appropriate contributions. No nonprofit organization, minimum fundraising amount, or minimum volunteer hours is required.

  6. Scoring: Each judge assigns a score from 0–100 for each category. When multiple judges participate, their scores are averaged within each category before applying its weight. The final score is calculated as (Introduction × 0.25) + (Evening Gown × 0.30) + (Photogenic × 0.25) + (Community Service/Resume × 0.20). The maximum final score is 100 points.

  7. Fair & Impartial Judging: Judges must disclose relationships that could reasonably create a conflict of interest. MCCA may replace a judge, exclude affected scores, or take other reasonable corrective action. Contestants and their representatives may not offer gifts, compensation, favors, or other incentives to influence results.

  8. Missing or Noncompliant Entries: A contestant who does not submit a required category entry by the published deadline will receive a score of zero (0) for that category but may remain in the competition. The category weights will not change, and submitted entries will be scored normally. An entry that cannot be judged because it is corrupted or materially fails the submission requirements will also receive zero for that category. MCCA may correct documented MCCA-controlled technical errors without creating an unfair advantage. Fraudulent or materially falsified submissions may result in disqualification.

  9. Tie-Breaking: Ties are resolved by the highest category score in this order: Evening Gown, Introduction Video, Photogenic, then Community Service/Resume. If a tie remains, an additional impartial review of the tied contestants’ original submissions will use the published judging criteria.

  10. Winners & Placements: The contestant with the highest verified final score within each state and age division is eligible for that State Title. First through Fourth Runner-Up may be recognized where applicable. Awards remain subject to eligibility verification. Runner-up succession is governed by Section 12.

  11. Confidentiality & Official Results: Judges’ individual evaluations, notes, and deliberations remain confidential unless disclosure is required by law. MCCA will announce official results through its designated channels. Contestants and their representatives must not privately contact judges to influence results or obtain confidential scoring information.

  12. Results Review: Subjective judging decisions are final. MCCA may review and correct documented mathematical errors, score-entry mistakes, eligibility errors, conflicts of interest, or material rule violations. Submit supported concerns through MCCA’s official communication channels. Disagreement with a judge’s opinion alone does not justify changing results.

  13. Competition Integrity: Impersonation, falsified accomplishments, score manipulation, improper influence, or deliberate interference may result in disqualification and appropriate disciplinary action. MCCA will administer these rules fairly and consistently.

SECTION 6 - ELIGIBILITY & OFFICIAL AGE DIVISIONS

  1. United States Eligibility: Applicants must be citizens or legal residents of the United States or its territories and must provide a valid U.S. shipping address for physical State Titleholder materials.

  3. Official Age Divisions

  • Wee Miss: Ages 1–3

  • Toddler Miss: Ages 4–6

  • Tiny Miss: Ages 7–9

  • Little Miss: Ages 10–11

  • Young Miss: Ages 12–14

  • Junior Miss: Ages 15–17

    4. Miss & Ms. Division Requirements: Contestants entering the Miss Division must be unmarried and have no children. Contestants entering the Ms. Division may be married or unmarried and may have or not have children.

    5. Division Changes During the Reign: Contestants may not select a division that conflicts with MCCA’s published eligibility requirements. A City Titleholder who ages into another division during her reign does not automatically lose her opportunity to compete for the State Title. Eligibility to compete for the State Title or National competition will be determined under the rules applicable to that competition.

    6. Accuracy & Continuing Eligibility: The contestant and, when applicable, parent/legal guardian are responsible for providing accurate age, marital status, parental status, residency, and other eligibility information. Material misrepresentation may result in denial, suspension, or title revocation.

SECTION 7 - STATE CROWN, SASH BRANDING & OFFICIAL TITLE USE

  1. Official State Crown & Sash: Each officially confirmed State Division Winner of Miss Coastal Crown of America LLC (“MCCA”) will receive an official MCCA State Crown and Sash representing her awarded State Title and age division. The crown and sash serve as official symbols of achievement, recognition, leadership, and the responsibilities associated with representing MCCA.

  2. State Titles Awarded Through Competition: MCCA State Titles are earned through the organization's official judged State Competition. Unlike MCCA Appointed City Titles, State Titles are not awarded solely through registration, payment, or administrative appointment. A contestant must successfully complete the applicable competition requirements, receive the qualifying judging results, and satisfy MCCA's eligibility and confirmation procedures before being recognized as an official State Titleholder.

  3. Crown & Sash Shipping and Delivery: Official State Crowns and Sashes will generally be shipped within four to eight (4–8) weeks after the State Division Winner has been officially announced and confirmed by MCCA. Shipping timeframes are estimates and may vary due to supplier availability, production schedules, carrier delays, holidays, weather conditions, or other circumstances outside MCCA's reasonable control. MCCA will provide shipment tracking information when available. State Titleholders are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address and promptly notifying MCCA of any changes before shipment.

  4. Crown & Sash Ownership: Once officially awarded and delivered, the State Crown and Sash become personal keepsakes of the State Titleholder. The crown and sash may be retained following the completion of the Titleholder's reign, resignation, or title revocation, unless a separate lawful written agreement expressly provides otherwise. Ownership of the physical crown and sash does not transfer ownership of MCCA's trademarks, logos, branding, or official title designations.

  5. Official State Title Representation: State Titleholders must use their correct official MCCA State Title, including the applicable age division and state designation, when representing the organization. A State Titleholder may not claim to hold a different division title, represent an unauthorized state, or identify herself as a National Titleholder unless she has officially earned and received that designation. Official titles may be used during the authorized reign in accordance with MCCA's branding and representation requirements.

  6. Crown & Sash Use During Appearances: State Titleholders are encouraged to wear their official crown and sash when participating in appropriate public appearances, community-service activities, charitable events, photographs, interviews, and promotional opportunities. The crown and sash should be presented in a respectful and professional manner consistent with MCCA's mission, values, and Titleholder standards. A Titleholder should not use her crown, sash, or official designation in a manner that falsely suggests MCCA has approved or sponsored an outside activity.

  7. MCCA Branding, Logos & Trademark Protection: The name Miss Coastal Crown of America, MCCA logos, official title designations, crown and sash designs, promotional graphics, and other protected organizational branding may be used only as authorized by MCCA. State Titleholders may use approved branding for legitimate personal Titleholder identification, appearances, and promotion of their reign. Without prior written authorization, Titleholders may not: Alter or misrepresent official MCCA logos or branding. Manufacture or sell merchandise using protected MCCA branding. Create unauthorized official-looking crowns, sashes, certificates, or awards. License MCCA branding to third parties. Represent an outside business or organization as an official MCCA sponsor or partner.

  8. Unauthorized Endorsements, Sponsorships & Fundraising: State Titleholders may participate in personal charitable initiatives, community-service activities, and outside events, provided their participation complies with the applicable Rules & Regulations. However, a State Titleholder may not use the MCCA name, logo, crown, sash, or official designation to imply that MCCA sponsors, operates, endorses, or financially supports a business, product, fundraiser, political campaign, or outside organization without prior written authorization. Personal fundraising activities must be clearly distinguished from official MCCA fundraising initiatives unless MCCA has expressly approved the activity.

  9. Lost, Damaged or Replacement Awards: State Titleholders are responsible for the reasonable care and safekeeping of their official crown and sash after delivery. Replacement crowns or sashes may be requested through MCCA and may be subject to replacement charges, shipping costs, supplier availability, and organizational approval. If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, the Titleholder or parent/legal guardian should notify MCCA promptly and provide reasonable documentation so the matter can be reviewed.

  10. Title Suspension, Resignation or Revocation: If a State Titleholder resigns, is suspended, or has her State Title officially revoked, she must discontinue representing herself as a current MCCA State Titleholder to the extent required by the applicable disciplinary decision. A former Titleholder may accurately identify herself as a past title recipient when appropriate, provided she does not falsely imply that she currently holds an active title or remains authorized to represent MCCA. Previously delivered crowns and sashes remain personal keepsakes unless a separate lawful written agreement provides otherwise.

  11. Official Recognition & Promotional Materials: MCCA may publish official State Titleholder announcements, photographs, competition placements, biographies, and recognition materials in accordance with the Media Release & Marketing Rights Agreement established in Section 1. State Titleholders may share their official announcements and approved promotional materials, provided they do not materially alter competition results, title designations, or MCCA branding.

  12. Compliance With Titleholder Responsibilities: Receipt of an official State Crown and Sash signifies recognition as a State Division Winner and acceptance of the applicable State Titleholder responsibilities. State Titleholders must comply with MCCA's official conduct standards, appearance and community-service requirements, branding policies, and National Competition advancement obligations as established in the applicable sections of these Rules & Regulations.

SECTION 8 - STATE TITLEHOLDER RESPONSIBILITIES, APPEARANCES & COMMUNITY SERVICE

  1. Official State Titleholder Responsibilities: Upon receiving an official State Title, each State Division Winner becomes a representative of Miss Coastal Crown of America LLC (“MCCA”) for the duration of her authorized reign. State Titleholders are expected to uphold MCCA's mission, values, and standards of confidence, integrity, leadership, grace, professionalism, and community involvement. State Titleholders are encouraged to use their titles as a platform to inspire others, promote positive change, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

  2. Mandatory Crowning Photograph or Video: Each State Titleholder must submit an official crowning photograph or video after receiving her MCCA State Crown and Sash. The photograph or video must clearly feature the State Titleholder wearing her official State Crown and Sash. Submitted crowning materials may be used by MCCA for official Titleholder announcements, promotional recognition, website features, and social media in accordance with Section 1 — Media Release & Marketing Rights Agreement. Parents or legal guardians may assist minor Titleholders with preparing and submitting the required materials.

  3. Minimum Public Appearance & Community Service Requirements: Each State Titleholder must complete a minimum of three (3) qualifying public appearances or community-service activities during her official one-year reign. The three required activities may consist of three public appearances, three community-service activities, or a combination of public appearances and community-service activities totaling three qualifying activities. State Titleholders are encouraged to participate in additional activities when reasonably possible, but additional appearances are not mandatory unless separately agreed to in writing.

  4. Qualifying Public Appearances: Qualifying public appearances may include participation in community festivals, charitable events, school programs, educational activities, public ceremonies, awareness campaigns, community celebrations, and other appropriate events. An appearance should provide a meaningful opportunity for the Titleholder to represent her official MCCA State Title, demonstrate leadership, or contribute positively to the community. Appearances must be lawful, age-appropriate, and consistent with MCCA's conduct and representation standards.

  5. Qualifying Community-Service Activities: Qualifying community-service activities may include volunteer work, charitable initiatives, donation drives, community cleanups, mentoring programs, school-supported service projects, awareness campaigns, fundraising participation, and other meaningful service opportunities. Activities may be completed individually, with family members, through schools, with established nonprofit organizations, or in collaboration with community groups. State Titleholders are not required to establish a nonprofit organization, raise a specific amount of money, or purchase products to fulfill their community-service obligations.

  6. Age-Appropriate Participation: MCCA recognizes that Titleholders represent a wide range of ages, from early childhood through adulthood. Community involvement and appearance expectations will be interpreted in a manner appropriate to the Titleholder's age, developmental abilities, and individual circumstances. Younger Titleholders may fulfill requirements through parent-supported charitable projects, school activities, kindness initiatives, community events, or other age-appropriate participation. Minor Titleholders must have appropriate parent or legal guardian supervision.

  7. Appearance & Community-Service Documentation: State Titleholders must maintain reasonable documentation of their qualifying appearances and community-service activities. Documentation should include the date, name or description of the activity, and the Titleholder's role or participation. Supporting photographs, event announcements, certificates, or other reasonable records may be submitted when available. MCCA may request documentation to verify completion of the required three activities.

  8. Crown, Sash & Official Title Representation: State Titleholders are encouraged to wear their official MCCA State Crown and Sash during appropriate appearances, community-service activities, and promotional opportunities. When wearing the crown and sash is impractical, unsafe, or inappropriate for the activity, a Titleholder may participate without them. Titleholders must accurately identify their official State Title and may not falsely imply that an independently organized event is sponsored or operated by MCCA.

  9. Social Media Participation & Recognition: State Titleholders are encouraged to share appropriate photographs, accomplishments, community-service activities, and positive experiences from their reign. Tagging MCCA's official social media accounts in Titleholder-related posts is appreciated and encouraged but is not a mandatory condition of maintaining a State Title. A Titleholder will not be automatically disqualified or have her title revoked solely for failing to tag MCCA in a social media post. All social media activity must comply with the applicable conduct, privacy, branding, and representation requirements.

  10. Scheduling & Personal Responsibilities: State Titleholders may select qualifying activities that reasonably accommodate their school schedules, employment, family responsibilities, personal commitments, and other circumstances. MCCA does not require Titleholders to attend every event or accept every appearance opportunity. Titleholders are responsible for making reasonable arrangements to complete their required activities during the designated reign.

  11. Communication With MCCA: State Titleholders and, when applicable, parents or legal guardians are expected to maintain reasonable communication with MCCA regarding official Titleholder responsibilities. Titleholders should respond to important organizational communications within a reasonable period and notify MCCA when circumstances may materially affect their ability to fulfill required obligations.

  12. Safety, Transportation & Supervision: State Titleholders are responsible for selecting lawful and reasonably safe appearances and community-service opportunities. Unless MCCA expressly agrees otherwise in writing, Titleholders and their families are responsible for their own transportation, supervision, personal expenses, and participation arrangements. Parents or legal guardians must provide appropriate supervision for minor Titleholders. No Titleholder is required to participate in an activity that presents an unreasonable safety risk.

  13. Failure to Complete Required Activities: Failure to complete the minimum three qualifying appearances or community-service activities may constitute noncompliance with State Titleholder responsibilities. Before imposing disciplinary action, MCCA may consider documented circumstances, the nature of the noncompliance, and whether a reasonable opportunity to complete outstanding requirements is appropriate. Disciplinary action, when warranted, will be governed by the applicable provisions concerning Titleholder conduct, suspension, and revocation.

  14. Completion of State Titleholder Reign: State Titleholders are expected to fulfill their applicable responsibilities throughout their official one-year reign. Completion of the reign does not eliminate any separate National Competition advancement obligations established under these Rules & Regulations. Upon successful completion of her reign, a Titleholder may accurately identify herself as a former MCCA State Titleholder, subject to the organization's branding and title-use requirements.

SECTION 9- STATE TITLEHOLDER CONDUCT, SOCIAL MEDIA & SPORTSMANSHIP

  1. Professional Conduct & Representation: All State Titleholders of Miss Coastal Crown of America LLC (“MCCA”) are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, respect, professionalism, grace, and good sportsmanship throughout their official reign. Titleholders serve as representatives of MCCA and are expected to uphold the organization's mission, values, and standards when participating in official appearances, community activities, public events, and organizational communications.

  2. Respectful Behavior & Sportsmanship: State Titleholders must demonstrate courtesy and respect toward fellow contestants, Titleholders, judges, directors, volunteers, sponsors, and members of the public. Bullying, harassment, intimidation, threats, discriminatory harassment, or deliberate interference with another contestant's participation will not be tolerated. Titleholders are expected to accept competition results respectfully and resolve disagreements through appropriate communication channels.

  3. Social Media Conduct & Online Representation: State Titleholders are expected to maintain respectful and responsible conduct when publicly representing MCCA through social media, websites, interviews, or other digital platforms. Titleholders must not knowingly publish false statements about MCCA or others, engage in targeted harassment, impersonate another individual, or misrepresent their official title or organizational authority. Respectful opinions, truthful personal experiences, and good-faith concerns or complaints are not prohibited by this policy.

  4. Social Media Tagging & Promotion: State Titleholders are encouraged to promote their reign, share accomplishments, highlight community-service activities, and tag MCCA's official social media accounts when appropriate. Social media tagging is encouraged but not mandatory. Failure to tag MCCA, by itself, will not constitute grounds for suspension, disqualification, or title revocation.

  5. Confidentiality & Organizational Information: State Titleholders must respect confidential organizational information, including nonpublic judging materials, private contestant information, internal communications designated as confidential, and protected personal information. Confidential information may not be intentionally disclosed without authorization, except where disclosure is permitted or required by law. This provision does not prevent lawful reporting, good-faith complaints, or communication with appropriate authorities.

  6. Unauthorized Statements & Organizational Representation: State Titleholders may not falsely claim to speak on behalf of MCCA, announce unofficial competition results, make unauthorized organizational commitments, or represent personal opinions as official MCCA policies. Any public statement presented as an official announcement must be authorized by MCCA.

  7. Judges & Competition Integrity: Contestants, Titleholders, parents, guardians, family members, and representatives may not bribe, pressure, threaten, harass, or improperly influence judges. Private contact intended to influence results or obtain confidential scoring information is prohibited.

  8. Public Appearances & Personal Conduct: When participating in public appearances or community-service activities as an MCCA State Titleholder, contestants must conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the organization's professional standards. Titleholders must comply with applicable laws, venue requirements, and reasonable event safety procedures. Personal conduct unrelated to MCCA will not automatically constitute a rules violation unless it materially affects the Titleholder's ability to fulfill her official responsibilities or involves serious misconduct relevant to organizational representation.

  9. Relationships With Fellow Contestants & Titleholders: MCCA encourages positive relationships, mutual support, encouragement, and sisterhood among contestants and Titleholders. State Titleholders must not intentionally sabotage another contestant's submissions, interfere with competition activities, spread knowingly false accusations, or engage in retaliatory behavior. Respectful competition and appropriate disagreement are permitted.

  10. Reporting Concerns & Resolving Disputes: State Titleholders and, when applicable, parents or legal guardians are encouraged to report serious conduct concerns, harassment, suspected rule violations, or other organizational issues through MCCA's official communication channels. Reports should be made honestly and include relevant supporting information when available. MCCA will review concerns reasonably and fairly while respecting the privacy of the individuals involved to the extent practical and lawful. Good-faith reporting will not, by itself, result in disciplinary action.

  11. Minor Titleholders & Parent/Guardian Responsibility: Parents or legal guardians are responsible for providing appropriate guidance and supervision to minor State Titleholders. Parents and guardians are also expected to communicate respectfully with MCCA representatives, contestants, judges, and other families. When concerns involve a minor, MCCA may communicate directly with the parent or legal guardian and consider age-appropriate corrective measures.

  12. Conduct Violations & Disciplinary Review: When a potential violation occurs, MCCA may consider the seriousness of the conduct, available evidence, surrounding circumstances, prior documented violations, and whether corrective action is appropriate. Depending on the circumstances, MCCA may issue a written warning, request corrective action, impose reasonable restrictions, temporarily suspend Titleholder privileges, or revoke a State Title for material or repeated violations. When reasonably appropriate, the affected Titleholder or parent/legal guardian will be given notice of the concern and an opportunity to respond before a final disciplinary decision is made.

  13. Serious Misconduct & Immediate Protective Action: MCCA may impose temporary protective restrictions when credible information indicates a serious safety concern, threats, harassment, fraud, or other substantial misconduct. Such action is not automatically a final determination of wrongdoing. MCCA will review the available information and determine whether additional action is warranted under the applicable Rules & Regulations.

  14. Protection of MCCA's Reputation & Mission: State Titleholders are expected to represent MCCA in a manner consistent with its mission of empowering women of all ages through confidence, purpose, leadership, community involvement, and positive change. This provision does not prohibit lawful personal expression, respectful criticism, or good-faith reporting of concerns. Any disciplinary decision must be based on an identifiable violation of the applicable Rules & Regulations rather than disagreement alone.

  15. Continued Compliance Throughout the Reign: State Titleholders must comply with the applicable conduct, social media, sportsmanship, and organizational representation requirements throughout their official reign. Material violations may affect continued Titleholder status and eligibility for National Competition advancement, subject to the applicable disciplinary and advancement provisions.

Documented MCCA system errors may be reviewed.

  3. Public Appearances & Community Service: State Titleholders are responsible for selecting safe, lawful, and age-appropriate appearances and community-service activities. 5. Expenses, Third Parties & Personal Property: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, contestants and Titleholders are responsible for their own travel, wardrobe, photography, equipment, and participation expenses. 6. Liability & Assumption of Risk: Contestants and, when applicable, parents or legal guardians acknowledge the ordinary risks associated with voluntary participation and independently arranged activities. To the extent permitted by law, MCCA is not responsible for losses or injuries arising solely from activities or third parties outside its reasonable control. This provision does not waive liability for MCCA's own negligence, misconduct, or other legally nonwaivable obligations.

  7. Limited Indemnification: To the extent permitted by law, adult contestants and Titleholders agree to indemnify MCCA against reasonable third-party claims arising directly from their own unlawful conduct, material misrepresentations, or material rule violations. This does not extend to MCCA's own negligence or misconduct. Any obligation involving minors or their guardians is subject to applicable law and a legally enforceable agreement.

  8. Safety Concerns & Legal Rights: Serious safety concerns should be reported to appropriate authorities and, when relevant, MCCA. Good-faith reporting will not result in retaliation. Nothing in these Rules & Regulations waives legal protections that cannot lawfully be waived.

  5. National Advancement Penalty: Under MCCA's stated advancement policy, a State Titleholder who fails to fulfill her mandatory National Competition commitment may be assessed a $200 USD penalty, subject to applicable law and the terms of a separately acknowledged, legally enforceable agreement. Runner-Up Succession: If a State Division Winner declines, forfeits, or becomes ineligible to advance, MCCA may offer the State Title and National Competition opportunity to the First Runner-Up, followed by the Second, Third, and Fourth Runner-Up, as applicable. A successor must satisfy eligibility requirements, accept the official responsibilities, and complete National registration and payment within the designated timeframe.

  7. Exceptions & Administrative Review: MCCA may review documented exceptional circumstances, including serious illness, emergencies, or organizational errors, when determining whether an extension or exception is appropriate. Any exception must be authorized by MCCA in writing.

  8. National Competition Results: Advancement provides an opportunity to compete for a National Title but does not guarantee placement, awards, prizes, or selection as a National Titleholder. National results will be determined under the official National Competition judging procedures.

State Title Revocation: MCCA may revoke a State Title for material eligibility violations, fraud, serious misconduct, repeated noncompliance, or failure to fulfill mandatory National Competition advancement obligations. Revocation decisions will consider the available evidence, seriousness of the violation, and applicable circumstances.

  5. Fair Review & Corrective Action: When reasonably appropriate, MCCA may issue a warning, request corrective action, or provide an opportunity to resolve a violation before revoking a title. Immediate protective action may be taken when necessary to address serious safety concerns. Good-faith complaints or respectful disagreements alone are not grounds for revocation.

  6. State Title Succession: If a State Title becomes vacant through resignation, revocation, or forfeiture, MCCA may offer the title to the eligible First Runner-Up, followed by the Second, Third, and Fourth Runner-Up, where applicable. Any successor must satisfy the official eligibility requirements and accept the associated State Titleholder and National advancement obligations.

  7. Crown, Sash & Former Titleholder Status: A former State Titleholder may retain her previously delivered crown and sash as personal keepsakes, subject to Section Following resignation or revocation, she may not represent herself as the current official MCCA State Titleholder.
